Blythewood Junior Varsity Bengals defeated Camden Junior Varsity Bulldogs 12-0 on Monday at Blythewood High School Stadium thanks in part to 11 runs in the second inning. Jack Campbell hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, A Burrows singled, scoring one run, Corbin Fulmer drew a walk, scoring one run, Pierce O’Donnell drew a walk, scoring one run, Fredy Layman singled, scoring two runs, Campbell singled, scoring two runs, and Austin Swartz singled, scoring three runs.
Blythewood Junior Varsity Bengals added one run in the third after Layman singled down the left field line.
O’Donnell earned the win for Blythewood Junior Varsity Bengals. The hurler gave up zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one. Henry Ridgeway stepped on the hill first for Camden Junior Varsity Bulldogs. The hurler gave up six hits and eight runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking two.
Blythewood Junior Varsity Bengals piled up 10 hits in the game. Layman and Swartz each collected two hits for Blythewood Junior Varsity Bengals.
